Zee Entertainment Enterprises has re-appointed Punit Goenka as Managing Director and CEO for a five-year term, starting from January 1, 2025, and ending on December 31, 2029.
As per the Company’s regulatory filing, the appointment is subject to the approval of the company’s shareholders.
“Based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and subject to the approval of the Members of the Company, the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held today, inter alia considered and approved the re-appointment of Punit Goenka as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company,” the company said.
As MD and CEO of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Goenka is spearheading the diversified and profitable entertainment company comprising Broadcast, with ZEE5 as one of the leading digital entertainment destinations across the globe, Movies with Zee Studios and Music with Zee Music Company, the company stated.
Presently, he serves as a Board of Director for the Indian Broadcasting and Digital Foundation (IBDF). In the past, he has served as the Chairman of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India, being a key part of its founding team; Chairman of IBDF and leading key conversations with policy makers; and President of the International Advertising Association’s (IAA) India Chapter, addressing key industry-level interests and launching several intellectual properties catering to the advertising and marketing fraternity.
