India concluded its journey at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity with BBDO securing a Silver Lion for Ariel in the Sustainable Development Goals category.
This win brought the country’s total to 32 Lions this year, a notable jump from the 18 metals India earned in the previous edition.
As the 72nd Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity comes to a close, the final Awards Show honoured the winners of Film, Titanium, Glass: The Lion for Change, Sustainable Development Goals and Grand Prix for Good.
BBDO India’s Silver was awarded under the Long-Term Brand Platform sub-category. On the fifth day of the festival, the agency’s #ShareTheLoad (10 years) campaign, which advocates for equal division of household responsibilities between men and women, earned the metal.
However, Indian agencies did not secure any wins on the final day across the Film, Glass: The Lion for Change, Titanium and Grand Prix for Good categories.
FCB led India’s medal tally with a total of nine Lions, all for its campaign ‘Lucky Yatra’ created for Indian Railways. The wins included a prestigious Grand Prix in the PR category.
