WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. To make the user experience smooth and engaging, the company releases new updates with updated features almost every other week.
Before launching the new updates, the company issues detailed weekly reports of the upcoming features or improvements on the existing ones. This week we got to know about new features that will soon be available in the messaging app and have already been released.
Animated Sticker Pack: WhatsApp has introduced a new animated sticker pack in its Android and iOS-based app. The company has turned WHO’s ‘Together at Home’ sticker pack into an animated sticker pack.
Sticker Search: WhatsApp has also introduced a new Sticker Search feature in its mobile apps. This feature enables users to search for relevant stickers just as they search for GIFs in the app.
New wallpapers: Lastly, WhatsApp has introduced new wallpapers in its mobile apps. The list includes custom chat wallpapers, doodle wallpapers, and light and dark wallpapers among others.
New Terms of Service: WhatsApp as per a report by WABetaInfo is planning to update its Terms of Service that will come into effect in February 2021 and will be announced via an in-app announcement. The report also says that the update will primarily focus on how WhatsApp processes user data and how businesses can use its services to store and manage their WhatsApp chats.
As of now, WhatsApp users can make voice calls and video calls via Android and iOS apps. However, we still cannot use the voice and video call feature on WhatsApp’s desktop app. We may soon be able to make voice and video calls via Whatsapp Desktop app as the tech team is working to introduce the most asked for feature. Currently, this feature has reached its testing phase.
Do try those and let us know your experience with them.
