Singapore Bags The World’s No. 1 Position; Delhi’s IGI Airport Takes First Place In India And South Asia | Full List
The Best Airport in India and South Asia award goes to Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, considering that no Indian airport made it into the top 20 ranks worldwide.
Skytrax, an organization that rates the quality of international air travel, announced that Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport won the prize for Best Airport in India and South Asia.
Singapore’s Changi Airport has been awarded the World’s Best Airport for 2023, followed by Doha Hamad Airport. Singapore was ranked No. 3 in 2022, whereas Doha Hamad claimed the top spot.
The Skytrax World Airport Awards are predicated on an annual worldwide airport customer satisfaction survey conducted between August 2022 and February 2023.
According to a Skytrax announcement, Delhi Airport has become the only airport in India to rank in the top 50 airports worldwide. The Delhi airport is ranked 36th on the list of the top 100 airports in the world for 2023, up from 37th place in 2022.
Hyderabad Airport, which was recognised as India and South Asia’s Best Regional Airport & Best Airport Staff, is the other Indian airport on the list. Airport in Hyderabad is ranked no. 65, down from no. 63 in 2022.
Bangalore, the third airport in India, is ranked 69th, down from 61st in 2022. Mumbai Airport dropped significantly in rating from the previous year to No. 84. Mumbai airport was rated No. 65 in 2022.
The largest airport in the nation, IGIA is run by the Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), a group managed by GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd.
