Axis Bank’s Sumit Bali Joins YES Bank As Country Head- Retail Assets & Debt Management

After being associated with Axis Bank for about four years as Group Executive Retail Lending, Sumit Bali has now joined YES Bank as its new Country Head- Retail Assets and Debt Management. He will be responsible for driving growth and profitability of the BFSI major’s retail assets, rural assets, and debt management businesses.

Axis Bank’s Sumit Bali Joins YES Bank As Country Head- Retail Assets & Debt Management

One of India’s leading Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance companies- YES Bank has appointed Sumit Bali, who served the role of Group Executive Retail Lending at Axis Bank for over four years now, as its new Country Head- Retail Assets and Debt Management.

In his new role at YES Bank, he will be responsible for driving growth and profitability of the company’s retail assets, rural assets, and debt management businesses and will work closely with key stakeholders to strengthen the brand’s assets business, ensuring management and governance practices across the organisation.

Prior to joining Axis Bank in 2020, Bali worked as a Chief Executive Officer at IIFL (India Infoline Group) from July 2018 to June 2020.

Coming from over three decades of experience in Retail Lending and Collections, Bali has also worked with Kotak Mahindra Bank in the past. He initially joined them as Executive Vice President in October 2006, and was promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer at the company in July 2020.
