Relaxo is a Delhi based company that was launched in 1976. The managing director and CEO, Ramesh Kumar Dua is passionate about footwear, and how people of all age groups can easily slide their feet into a pair of slippers. Comfort matters, especially for those getting old and your feet need the utmost care if you frequent walking or jogging. This comfort is brought to you by Relaxo. So what is the company’s story and how has it managed to shine even after all these decades?

What Kind of Footwear Does Relaxo Have?

Relaxo is popular today for its regular Hawaii chappals that we Indians fancy. Its comfortable, stylish and does not wear off easily. What more would you want from a pair of daily wear slippers? To put the icing on the cake, Relaxo slippers come in different sizes for both men and women and fall under the affordable price range for the regular Indian citizen. Since its launch, Relaxo has managed to manufacture 400 different kinds of slippers. If you count the number of pairs sold, Relaxo sells the most and has managed to have 1.35 million itself last year!

By focusing on quality primarily and gradually building up the brand, Relaxo’s manager Mr. Du has definitely gained his audience over the years. In the last few years, it has used Bollywood celebrities as its ambassadors to reach the public in a more relatable way. Now, it satisfies the needs of most Indians since the brand trust has been established which has paved the way for nothing else but profit over the years for the company.

Relaxo does not use leather-like Bata and Metro. The company focuses on cheap materials that not only keep the quality intact but are more accessible by the middle-class Indian.
