Shantaprasad Nagarmath Elevated To CEO Role; To Lead New JV of Nestlé India & Dr. Reddy’s

To lead the newly formed joint venture between Dr Reddy’s and Nestle Health Science aimed at bringing innovative nutraceutical brands to consumers in India, the former has elevated its Head- Consumer Business (OTC plus Nutrition)- Shantaprasad Nagarmath to CEO role. He had been associated with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories for the last one-and-a-half years.

Shantaprasad Nagarmath Elevated To CEO Role; To Lead New JV of Nestlé India & Dr. Reddy’s

Shantaprasad Nagarmath, who had been serving the role of Head- Consumer Business (OTC plus Nutrition) at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories for the last one-and-a-half years has now been entrusted with the responsibility of helming the new joint venture between Nestlé India & Dr. Reddy’s as CEO- India.

He took to LinkedIn to announce the news of his appointment and mentioned, “Happy to share that I’m starting a new position for a JV between two powerbrands- Dr. Reddy’s & Nestle Health Science to enable consumers to lead a better quality of life with our evidence based Nutrition range… Exciting times for our team ahead!”

Having joined Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories in March 2023, he was responsible for leading the integrated OTC and Nutrition Business for the company alongside managing and overseeing the company’s overall P&L and Operational responsibilities.

Before that, Nagarmath worked with Abbott for a period of close to six years across a slew of roles. He joined them as Head of Marketing- Women’s Health and Gastroenterology in June 2017 and was elevated to the role of Associate Business Director (BU Head)- Gastroenterology in January 2019. In July 2021, he advanced to the role of Commercial Director- OTC, Multi Specialty Pharma BU, Vaccines BU, Extra Urban Taskforce BU at the company.

From July 2015 to November 2016, he served the role of GM Marketing at XSEED Education.

In his earlier stint with Abbott which lasted for about five-and-a-half years, he moved up the ladders from being Head- Marketing Manager to Associate Marketing Manager and GPM (Paediatric Nutrition) for the first five years and then assumed the role of Associate Director Marketing- Paediatric Nutrition in January 2015.

In the past, he also worked with Heinz India for close to six years. He joined them as Assistant Manager Foodservices in May 2004 and was elevated to the role of Assistant Brand Manager in June 2007.
