The market for used cars in India is growing exponentially. There are various offline and online sellers who sell all kinds of used cars ranging from the mass segments to luxury vehicles.

I mean, take a look at top-notch celebrities like Virat Kohli and Shilpa Shetty. They have amazing car collection but have still bought used cars time and time again. Let’s go on a quick stroll:

1) Virat Kohli

The world-renowned cricket player is known to be a part of two cities, Mumbai and Delhi. The captain of the Indian cricket team has two Bentley cars in each of those cities. The car in Delhi is a used second-hand white Bentley continental GT which has been spotted multiple times by paparazzi.

2) Yuvraj Singh

Another member of the cricket team who is known for his battles outside the cricket field has a Lamborghini which he purchased from BBT. The Lamborghini is a Murcielago LP640-4 with a 6.5-liter engine and maximum power of 631 Bhp.

3) Shilpa Shetty

Our Bollywood stars aren’t behind on their collection of used cars. Shilpa Shetty has both, a Bentley and a Lamborghini after all. Moreover, the Range Rover Wheelbase version is often spotted during her gym visits. An off-road specialization car, it was also purchased from BBT by the actress.

4) Sardar Singh

The young chap who became India’s youngest hockey team captain, he got a swanky blue Range Rover from BBT. Infact, he also aspires to buy a Land cruiser one day!

Now, since even celebrities are picking used cars over updated models, you must be wondering why!

Here is a list of few reasons:

1) Save the money

They might be celebrities with sacks of money in their houses and bank accounts, nit who wants to miss out on the opportunity to save the hard-earn money? Used cars come is a cost-efficient pick with as many benefits as a fresh car. For example, Virat Kohli must have saved at least 1 crore on his single purchase of the Bentley that he has.

2) As good as new

Using or buying used cars is a way for celebrities to always be in the trend. They pay less and alongside change cars every few months in exchange for the previously owned.

3) Lesser depreciation

Celebrities usually buy used ‘luxury’ cars. Now, normally luxury cars depreciate at a really high speed and lose out on value. However, used luxury cars take time to depreciate, allowing retention of value and quality over a longer period of time.

So, don’t hesitate to buy used, especially if you enjoy cars, like a change or want to save your hard-earned cash!
