After being associated with Google for over six-and-a-half years, Praseed Prasad has now rejoined WPP’s media investment arm as its new Chief Growth Officer.
Based out of GroupM’s Bangalore office, he will be responsible for leading New Business Development, Growth, Strategy, Operations, Marketing and Communications to GroupM’s clients, employees, and industry audiences.
He will be working closely with the agency and GroupM leadership to identify growth opportunities, develop integrated solutions that leverage the skills and expertise of the industry’s deepest bench of talent, and effectively communicate GroupM’s value proposition and will be reporting to Prasanth Kumar, CEO- GroupM South Asia.
Prior to reuniting with GroupM, Prasad was associated with Google for over six-and-a-half years wherein he served across a slew of roles ranging from Head of Media Operations and Product Specialists- UKI Retail Verticals from August 2017 to October 2020, Head of Media Operations and Product Specialists- Northern Europe from October 2020 to June 2022 and lastly as Head- Partner Engagement (APAC) from June 2022 to April 2024.
Before that, he served the role of Partner- Global Head of Digital and Innovation at Wipro from May 2017 to August 2017 and was earlier associated with Flipkart for about one-and-a-half years. He joined Flipart as Country Sales Director and Head of Agency Partnerships in January 2016 and was elevated to the role of Director- Brand Marketing and Head of Media in July 2016.
From June 2015 to December 2015, Prasad served the role of Chief Growth Officer at IceCream Labs.
In his earlier stint with GroupM, he held key roles within WPP’s media investment arm including that of Senior Director- Trading Analytics and Digital Trading from January 2009 to June 2011 and National Director and Head of India- Digital Trading from July 2011 to May 2015.
In the past, he was also associated with Maxus, Carat, Mediacom and Lodestar.
