Pepe Jeans London has appointed Rakesh Jallipally as Chief Executive Officer for India operations, effective July 24, 2025. He brings more than 18 years of leadership experience across fashion, retail, and consumer tech.
Jallipally’s appointment marks a strategic move by the brand as it looks to deepen its presence in India’s evolving fashion landscape. With Jallipally at the helm, Pepe Jeans plans to expand retail, accelerate digital growth, and strengthen its connection with fashion-forward consumers in India.
Prior to joining Pepe Jeans, Jallipally served as Vice President at Flipkart, where he launched and scaled Spoyl, a Gen Z-focused fashion platform, while also overseeing the men’s fashion business. Earlier, he helped launch AZORTE at Reliance Retail and spent nearly a decade at Arvind Fashions Ltd. in CEO and COO roles, driving growth for brands such as USPA and Flying Machine. He began his career at Raymond Ltd., managing retail operations across South India.
Rakesh Jallipally said, “I’m really thrilled to be joining Pepe Jeans, a brand that has continually redefined denim and casual wear for millions of Indian consumers. I can’t wait to collaborate with the talented team here to enhance the brand’s presence, broaden our market reach, and connect more deeply with our diverse customer base. Together, we’re looking to build on Pepe Jeans’ iconic legacy and unlock the next phase of growth for our business in India.”
