Indian smartphone market is very competitive nowadays. The entry of brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, and OnePlus has made the life of customers better by providing amazing smartphones at affordable prices.
Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma complained about his iPhone X on Twitter and got responses from popular smartphone makers including Xiaomi and OnePlus. Vijay tweeted “My iPhone X is in this state since yesterday evening. All, multiple combos of hold key press, haven’t worked to restart it !” and even shared a video showing the issue he was facing.

Companies know that Twitter complaints are something that modern customers pay attention to before buying new smartphones. Xiaomi India head tried taking advantage of the situation and he offered a new smartphone to Paytm’s CEO.
Maybe it's a signal – time to switch to the No. 1 smartphone brand in India! 😇
I would be happy to send one to you personally.

This was something like an invitation for users on Twitter to join this convo and share their views on it.
Interesting paradox
So interesting paradox is, one who can buy a new phone daily, gets a phone as a gift ☺️

This isn’t the first incident when Manu Kumar Jain has offered free Xiaomi phones to people complaining about Apple devices. Last year, he offered a free Redmi Note 4 to CommonFloor cofounder when he complained about battery issues in his iPhone 6.
Vijay Shekhar hasn’t replied to Xiaomi and OnePlus but it shows how eager these brands are to market their products. This is a great way of marketing as a lot of people follow Vijay Shekhar and this was able to draw the attention of smartphone lovers.
