Something is surely not right in our country as still we are fighting and judging people based on their religion. The world has made it possible to reach Mars but there are some basic problems which are a part of our society. Cabs have become a popular mode of transport and passengers sometimes have to hear weird reasons from drivers for not going for the ride. A recent incident in Delhi has led a driver to lose his job because he refused to drop a passenger because his destination was a Muslim area.
The passenger named Asad Ashraf who works as a journalist booked an Ola cab from B.K Dutt Colony in Delhi to get to Jamia. The driver dropped him in the midway and gave the reason that Jamia is a ‘Muslim colony’.
Asad being a journalist was quick to contact Ola over this and shared everything on Twitter. “Olacabs your driver would have killed me for being a Muslim today. Where are your ethics? Delhi Police”, he wrote and added screenshots.

In the below images one can read how the driver threatened him to get down. The driver harassed him by saying that Jamia Nagar “was not a place to go” as it was a “Muslim colony.” Asad was even blocked from Ola and gave 2 stars rating to the app.

Asad replied by showing his worries about the whole thing.
They did not address the issue. The cab driver ran away . I have all the call records. You promised to send another cab but that didnt come and I had literally run away from that place to save my life. Also my app was blocked untill I gave 2 stars https://t.co/qfs2gSVY2V

Specific to the shocking Incident that happened last night, we have off-roaded the driver. Ola, like India, believes in secularity & will never allow any sort of discrimination amongst its customers & driver partners. We stand by you & deeply apologise for the incident.
