There is no doubt that Reliance Jio has transformed the telecom sector in India. Mukesh Ambani’s vision of making internet available to everyone has helped the country in so many ways but he hasn’t decided to stop yet. In the 2018 AGM speech, Mukesh Ambani launched broadband and fixed line service JioGigafiber.

“JioGigaFiber is currently undergoing beta trials in many homes. Starting 15 August you can start registering your interest on the MyJio app and at website. The service will rollout in 1,100 cities simultaneously,”
Ambani said in the 41st AGM event. He has also revealed about launching a new version of JioPhone which will be called JioPhone 2 and will be available from August 15 to buy at Rs 2999.

Mukesh Ambani asked his daughter and son Isha and Akash Ambani to share the features of JioPhone 2. The new and updated JioPhone will come up with Facebook, WhatsApp and the Youtube apps which will work with simple voice commands and will have QWERTY keypad along with a four-way navigation pad. The phone will have 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM and will support up to 128 GB SD card.
Reliance Jio also announces GigaTV Set Top Box which will come bundled with JioGigaFiber broadband services. The JioGigaTV is a 4K enabled Media Streaming Box. The STB will also have voice commands in most Indian languages.
