To keep in line with the dynamic nature of the corporate sector, start-ups have to keep themselves technologically advanced and should also be having access to different industries.

From Ultra Fast Grocery Delivery to Electric Scooter manufacturers, here are 7 business models that have received the most funding in 2022.

1. Food Ordering Platforms

We all know about this and also know how big a success this business model has been. In fact, the pandemic did more good to this business model than harm. We all have been so addicted to ordering food online, especially after the pandemic, and hence this business model is a big success. Food ordering platforms like Zomato and Swiggy have raised as much as $700 million in 2022.

2. Super Fast Grocery Delivery Platforms

Ultra Fast Grocery Delivery apps like Swiggy Instamart, Zomato-owned Blinkit, Big Basket, etc are some very brilliant Indian startups that ensure quick grocery delivery. This business model of Ultrafast grocery delivery has raised impressive funding of $1140 million with Swiggy alone raising funding of $700 million in 2022.

3. Hyperlocal Delivery Platforms

This evolutionary business model was certainly ahead of its time when it was introduced. Many times, we want to buy certain things which are either not available at the nearby shops or we are just too lazy to step out. How about getting it putting all the requirements on an app and getting it delivered by a delivery partner? This is a very creative idea in which these Hyperlocal Delivery Platforms not just deliver groceries but also deliver different customer needs through local shops. This business model raised an impressive funding of $959 million this year.

4. Own Fleet

Sounds unfamiliar? It’s another very interesting business idea that has been accepted with open arms in the business world. Companies that offer logistics services using their own Transportation via trucks, trains, cars, etc are referred to as Own Fleet. This business model came as a revolution and has been funded with $304 million this year.

5. Customer Support Startups


Voice-based Customer Support Startups have been a big success and have raised funding of $401 million this year. Many companies have established themselves as voice Based Customer Support Startups where they hire staff and work for big companies to provide customer support to their buyers.

6. Electric Scooter and Car Manufacturers

Electric scooters and cars have come as a revolution in the vehicles industry. Cutting the high costs of fuel, prove to be very beneficial for the customers. Electric scooter manufacturers raised $627millio this year with Coimbatore-based Apere Vehicles alone raising $220 million.

Electric car manufacturers have raised $496 million this year. This sector has shown great progress.

7. Online Test Preparation Course

Online Test Preparation Platforms are the most funded sector in 2022. This business model raised a total of $1214.7 million in 2022. Quite impressive right? Edtech firm BYJU’s alone has raised $965 million this year. This sector has certainly done great in 2022.
