Meet Alexander Townley Who Reviews ‘The Simpsons Show’ For A Living

| Published on March 2, 2022

We all have a dream job that we crave for. While a lot many of us try really hard at getting to it, here is an example of a UK man who is living his dream job.

Alexander Townley is doing what a lot of us could only dream of. All of 26, Alexander is a huge fan of the show “The Simpsons”, and all he has to do is watch every episode of the same. He is also given free vegan doughnuts to have while viewing the show every week, apart from being paid more than 5 lacs annually.

The cartoon pundit was elated on being tagged on a job post on social media, by his brother who looking for someone to analyze episodes of the show. This was more to predict the future, as the show has been famous for predicting historical events like the pandemic and even the 9/11 attacks. Initially, no one took him seriously. Its only when the doughnuts started arriving by mail, is when people thought of this to be an actual job.

Though the job appears to be a dreamy one, it isn’t that easy. Alexander has to note every scene that has a reference to the future in detail and send it to the employer PlastinCasino.co.uk. Sometimes, he may even have to watch almost 30 episodes a day several days in a week, and that is tiring. He has reached season 18 of the 33 seasons the show has, though another 717 episodes are still to be scrutinized.

“I’ve always found The Simpsons to be absolutely fascinating; the reason it has stood the test of time is that it’s a reflection on society and based on stereotypes! For example, a fat American dad with a trophy wife and kids, a police officer with a pig nose and a school principal with annoyingly good posture.” Says Alexander.

He wishes to be a part of his most beloved show someday. When not reviewing ‘The Simpson’s’ show, Alexander works as a café supervisor.
