MakeMyTrip Elevates Abhishek Bhasin To VP - Brand & App Performance Marketing

MakeMyTrip has elevated Abhishek Bhasin to VP – Brand & App Performance Marketing. He was previously the Director – Brand, Emerging Business, and App Marketing. He announced his elevation in a LinkedIn post.

Bhasin has held a series of progressively senior marketing roles at MakeMyTrip over a span of five years, significantly shaping the company’s brand and digital growth strategy.

He began his journey at MakeMyTrip in 2019 as Senior Marketing Manager. In April 2021, he was promoted to Associate Director – Brand, Growth and Mobile App Marketing Lead. In this role, he was responsible for driving brand growth, demand generation, and new user acquisition through an integrated marketing approach. His work encompassed brand equity building, social media marketing, digital and ATL campaigns, and mobile growth strategies including Google UAC, Facebook, ASO, and affiliate marketing. He led a 10-member team and was instrumental in executing impactful TV campaigns that achieved double-digit growth in brand metrics.

In October 2022, Bhasin was promoted to Director, Brand, Emerging Businesses & App Marketing. Here, he took charge of scaling MakeMyTrip’s user base by designing strategies to penetrate under-indexed consumer segments. He played a pivotal role in expanding the app’s reach, reinforcing MakeMyTrip’s position as India’s leading travel platform. His focus was on aligning marketing initiatives with both topline and bottomline objectives, tailoring propositions to emerging consumer needs.

Prior to his tenure at MakeMyTrip, he served as the Marketing Manager for Royal Stag at Pernod Ricard from 2018 to 2019, where he was responsible for category P&L management and brand strategy.
