In recent times, there have been many brands that have taken fashion to the extreme end. And by extreme fashion, we mean something that has caught our attention and not in a good way.
Leading brands like Gucci and Balenciaga have been known to sell ordinary-looking articles for insane prices all in the name of fashion.
We all know the recent buzz created by Balenciaga for selling a ‘Thela’ looking bag for Rs 1.5 lakhs. The absurd amount and common design left all the desis perplexed. Gucci has been doing the same for a while now.
It seems, that Louis Vuitton has entered the world of bizarre fashion too. LV’s latest bag looks exactly like a paint can. Named the ‘LV Paint Can Bag’, it is a part of Virgil Abloh’s final LV Men’s Collection where he revisited familiar objects in imaginative ways.
It has been described as “a wildly creative alternative to a conventional bag,” and is priced at £1,980. The French fashion giant has styled it to look like a real paint can, down to the metal handle.
As for its features, the LV Paint Can Bag is spacious enough to hold two phones and other personal items. It comes in “six-eye grabbing colors from designer Virgil Abloh‘s signature palette” – Blue, red, yellow, green, purple, and orange.
The bag has a coated canvas and cowhide leather along with microfibre lining, silver-color hardware, and a removable and adjustable strap. It was featured in the late designer’s posthumous Men’s Fall/Winter 2022 runway show in January.
People have been giving mixed reactions to the designer’s take on the paint can bag. While many were impressed with the design, some did not find it amusing at all.
Nevertheless, the brand was able to create a buzz on social media and many rich are also making sure that they add it to their possessions.
