The seven-member band-BTS recently launched their individual accounts on Instagram. And their handles are doing better than expected.
All their accounts verified with the social media handle’s coveted blue check have already attracted more than 4 million followers. Their manager, Big Hit Music had announced earlier that the band would be taking some time off to “recharge with creative energy” to return to work in early 2022. However, they are reportedly on an extended period of rest, focusing on preparing for their new concert in March and release of their new album.
Coming back to the latest from the band, the seven different Instagram accounts have limited their comments sections, with only members allowed to post on each other’s posts. Needless to say, they are making excellent use of it.
RM has uploaded pictures of his canine friends and Jin’s account has snaps from concerts in LA, a behind the scenes look at the creation of a t-shirt he used in “Super Tuna” and a very special snap of himself and Jungkook.
Suga has the most professional account among all. Called as August D, his only post is of some greenery. J-Hope has one of the most aesthetic feed by the handle @uarmyhope. His profile pic spells professionalism with a Louis Vuitton clad J-Hope.
Jimin a.k.a. j.m has his name set as ‘JIMIN of BTS’ and has only posted a black and white picture of himself from the promotions of “Butter”
V has posted two pictures, one from a photo shoot, posing with flowers and one of an animal skeleton.
Jungkook, has the most hilarious and quirky handle by the name @abcdefghi______klmnopqrstuvwxyz. He also has three pictures with one of them being a sunset in Santa Monica and another being taken before one of his concerts at SoFi
Though fans are going to have their favourites, the band were one brand identity until now, and now are seven brands with solo monetisation. This has given Instagram a boost like none before.
And this is not the first time something like this has happened. Another example is that of UK-based content creators Sidemen having a clothing merchandise platform, who are in process of dropping a QSR brand, individually representing different brands like Adidas and Gymshark.
One can expect BTS band members grabbing individual deals on a global level too.
