After a really long wait, Spotify has managed to enter Indian market with its services. If you don’t know about Spotify, let us tell you that this Sweden based app has the most number of subscribers among all the music service providers globally. To give you an idea, it has over 207 million total monthly active users, including 96 million paying subscribers.
The company has rolled out its premium plans at Rs. 119 ($1.67) per month and the music provider seems to be a bit late when comes too Indian market because the current market is dominated by big players like Apple Music, Google Music, Amazon Music and domestic players like JioSaavn and Gaana.
Knowing the news of Spotify’s launch in Indian market, JioSaavn was quick to latch on the opportunity of welcoming its new rival. The company chose the Bollywood way to welcome Spotify as the social media team of JioSaavn wrote
