Prime Minister Narendra Modi is popular for his speeches. His art of speaking well in the audience has definitely played a role in attracting Indians to vote for him. Do you remember his pakoda speech that became the talk of the town? A member of a member of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) seems to have taken inspiration from it and is selling over 300 kgs of pakodas in 4 hours every day.

Narayanbhai Rajput who is a post graduate in Hindi took some courage and opened a pakoda stall in Vadodara and named it Shriram Dalwada Centre. Today the business is so successful that he has opened several franchises of this stall.
Narayanbhai confirmed that the idea of starting this business came to his mind after PM Modi’s interview in which he said that earning Rs 200 per day by selling pakodas was be better than staying unemployed.

“Upon Prime Minister’s advice that selling pakoda is also an employment, I thought of giving it a try. I started with one pakoda stall with only 10 kg of material. Now, I sell pakodas of around 500 to 600 kg of material,” he said.
“I am a die-hard Congressman and will remain the same in my next birth too”, he added to ensure others that he still supports Congress.
On talking about what made him name his pakoda stall after Lord Ram, he said,

“If stones can swim in water (giving reference to epic Ramayana) and leaders like Amit Shah and Narendra Modi can rule the country in the name of Lord Ram then his pakoda stall would do well in the name of Lord Ram.”

In just 2 months he saw a positive response and wanted to make this opportunity count. He sells 100 grams of dal pakodas at Rs 10 from 7 am to 11 am and sells over 300 kg of dal vada. The same quantity is sold on an average in the evening!

He took the decision of pakoda selling to challenge the notion and it seems to have turned into a lucrative business for him.
