Amul has always been a brand that has stood out for its unconventional marketing skills, but this time the Indian Railway ministry is winning everyone’s hearts on twitter because of its reply on Amul’s proposal in a tweet. Amul tweeted @RailMinIndia “Amul is interested in using refrigerated parcel vans to transport Amul Butter across India. Request to please advise.”
The Indian Railway Ministry, which mostly gets tweets about complaints from passengers took this as a great opportunity to show their skills and replied after certain hours with “IR will be utterly butterly delighted to get the taste of India to every Indian.”
The Indian Railways has the refrigerated van service for storing commodities such as fruits, vegetables, frozen meats/poultry and chocolates which is available on certain specific routes. The ministry of railways also added that “The senior divisional manager of the Ahmedabad Division will meet officials from Amul today to discuss this, said the official.”
Social networking site Twitter has once again proven to be a great platform to exhibit one’s marketing skills and kudos to the Indian Railway Ministry for their timely response!
