ICICI Bank has approved the re-appointment of Sandeep Bakhshi as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at its board meeting held on January 17, 2026.
The board has noted that Bakhshi’s current tenure as MD and CEO has been valid until October 3, 2026. It has now unanimously approved his re-appointment for a further period of two years, with effect from October 4, 2026 to October 3, 2028, subject to approvals from the Reserve Bank of India, shareholders, and other statutory authorities.
The bank has stated that the re-appointment has been in line with the Reserve Bank of India’s Commercial Banks: Governance Directions, 2025, issued in November 2025. The required disclosures under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations have been enclosed separately.
