How ‘Xpressbees’ Became Market Leader Of Logistics Industry In Just 5 Years

For every big brand and even the end customers, a smooth delivery experience plays a huge part in completing our shopping experience. Not just shopping, there are times when we rely on these delivery companies to handle our goods with utmost care.

While there are many logistics companies in India, Xpressbees has become a leading name in the field. The company offers a great network of supply chain management across the country.

The Founders

It was founded by Amitava Saha and Supam Maheshwari in 2015 with an aim to offer various logistic services like Ecommerce Logistics, Express Cargo, Cross-border Logistics, and Fulfillment Services.

Supam Maheshwari and Amitava Saha were also the co-founders of  FirstCry.com which they had launched in 2010. While Supam holds a B.Tech degree from Delhi College of Engineering and he is also a graduate from IIM Ahmedabad, Amitava has more than 17 years of experience in sales and operation.

Its Growth & Development

Xpressbees started with 50,000 shipments per day and now it is executing more than 1.5 million shipments per day. In just five years since its launch, the company has more than 5000 employees, 2000 offices and service centers, and is functional across 1400 cities.

In the financial year 2019, the company’s business operations increased by 99.7% which amounts to INR 540.95 Crore.

The company received $10 Million in funding from Alibaba Group in January 2020. Till November 2020, the company has raised a total of $277.6 Million over seven rounds.

Though the company has many competitors in the market like  Ecom Express, Delhivery, and Ekart Logistics, it has still been able to maintain its lead in the market.

With services like reverse logistics, real-time tracking, and multiple payment collection options, Xpressbees has made it a trustworthy name amongst both B2B and B2C clientele.
