The success story of Ila Prakash Singh
Starting your own business has always been a dream for many. While it may not seem so difficult today when digital marketing is easily accessible, it was a challenge for many almost a decade ago. In those days, social media was very much active however not many people had access to it. But there have been many dedicated people who fought all odds and have become successful entrepreneurs despite the shortcomings.
Today we bring you one such story of Ila Prakash Singh from Haryana, who left her corporate job where she was earning Rs 40,000 monthly salaried job to start her own business. Today, she is earning lakhs of rupees from the comfort of her home.
Ila, who lives in Gurugram, started a bakery business by the name of, Truffle Tangles, from her home with a capital of only Rs 5000. Gradually, her bakery business gained popularity and she started providing home delivery service to her customers. Today, she is earning about Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 a day which brings her monthly income to Rs 3-4 Lakhs.
According to The Better India, Ila has a graduate degree in Hotel Management from the Welcome Group Graduate School of Hotel Administration in Manipal. After graduation, she worked in the hospitality industry for many years. And later on, Ila even worked in the marketing division in Kolkata for 5 years.
In 2006, Ila got married and moved back to Gurugram. One day she thought of starting her own business. Ila thought that she should do the work for herself which she is so good at doing for her employers. It was in 2007 that Ila finally started her own bakery business.
Ila sells baked goods like cakes, gluten-free bread, cookies, chocolates, desserts, etc. and savory items such as patty, stuffed buns, pizzas, and even curated gift hampers. She makes more than 40 food items at her bakery and home delivers it in the regions of Delhi NCR. She has even participated in many food fairs that happen in Delhi NCR where she puts up a stall to attract more customers.
Ila still works from her home and has incorporated a small office for herself. Her dedication and desire to start her own bakery business has turned Ila into a successful entrepreneur and an inspiration to others.
