India gets together to celebrate the National Girl Child Day every year on January 24. The day encourages the daughters of the country to live a life with proper education, health facilities and career prospects. The National Girl Child Day is also focussed on highlighting the problems like female foeticide, dowry and lack of education and health facilities, among others.
