Herat Panchal has exited JioStar, bringing to a close his stint as Director – Lead, Digital Entertainment, a role he had held since January 2025. Based in Mumbai, Panchal was responsible for generating advertising revenue for SMB and emerging clients across the digital entertainment portfolio.

Prior to JioStar, Panchal was associated with Viacom18 Media, where he spent over two and a half years across multiple leadership roles within JioCinema Entertainment. He most recently served as National Vertical Head from November 2023 to June 2024, leading national revenue across verticals including FMCG, media and entertainment, OEMs, telecom, real estate and infrastructure. Before this, he worked as Senior Manager – JioCinema Entertainment from November 2021 to November 2023, where he handled AVOD sales across the West, covering inventory, sponsorships, bespoke solutions and sports IP sales, while also leading teams.
Earlier, Panchal was with GroupM for over three years. He served as Senior Business Director from June 2018 to October 2021, where he led West sales for specialist teams including INCA, Motion Content Group and branded content integrations across IPs, working closely with content, performance and digital teams. He later briefly took on the role of Regional Revenue Head – West Matrix between October 2021 and November 2021.
Before joining GroupM, Panchal spent over four years at Radio Mirchi. He worked as Group Manager from April 2016 to May 2018, handling team management, corporate clients and new business acquisition. Prior to this, he served as Account Manager – Corporate from May 2014 to April 2016, where he focused on corporate and retail sales, business development for the dotcom sector, and delivered significant growth in real estate ad sales.
Panchal began his core professional career at iGATE Global Solutions, where he worked as Associate Consultant from May 2012 to May 2014. Earlier in his career, he was associated with NOCIL as an Executive Engineer between July 2008 and September 2009.
