Godrej Consumer Products On The Lookout For ‘Cost Efficient’ Media Agency Partner

In an attempt to constantly improve and drive cost efficiencies in its media strategy and spends, one of the major FMCG players in the country- Godrej Consumer Products  is now looking for an agency partner for its Rs 700 crore worth media account.

The incumbent agency on the account is Madison World’s Madison Media.

That being said, several reports also claim that the multi-crore media account pitch is seeing participation from some of India’s biggest media agencies including the likes of GroupM and Dentsu Media India.

Confirming the brand’s move to call a media pitch, Harshdeep Chhabra, Head Global Media, GCPL, stated, “It has always been a good practice for us to seek continual improvements that can drive cost efficiencies in our media strategy and spends. To this effect, we intend to run a transparent and objective media pitch process that will help us to select an appropriate media agency partner.”

It is also to be noted that GCPL which is helmed by Sudhir Sitapati as CEO is the only FMCG advertiser in India to have an in-house creative agency- LightBox Creative Lab. The same had appointed India’s first woman Chief Creative Officer and former ad agency exec who birthed iconic and award winnings campaigns during her tenures in FCB Group India, Dentsu Mamalabs and J Walter Thompson- Swati Bhattacharya.
