General Mills Elevates Kaajal Shivdasani To Marketing Director, Asia For Häagen-Dazs

General Mills’ Häagen-Dazs has promoted Kaajal Shivdasani to Marketing Director for Asia, joining the Global Brand Development team for the ice cream brand. In her new role, she will oversee brand strategy and portfolio development for the brand across Asia, including China, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.

General Mills Elevates Kaajal Shivdasani To Marketing Director, Asia For Häagen-Dazs

General Mills has promoted Kaajal Shivdasani to the role of Marketing Director for Asia at Häagen-Dazs, joining the Global Brand Development team for the brand.

In this role, she will be responsible for leading the brand strategy and portfolio development of the ice cream brand, Haagen-Dazs, across Asia, including China, Korea, HK, Taiwan, and South-East Asia.

She took to LinkedIn to announce the same and mentioned, “Delighted to share that I’ve recently taken on an exciting new role at General Mills! It’s a privilege to join the Global Brand Development Team on one of our most iconic brands, Haagen-Dazs, as Marketing Director, Asia, as we look to grow this much-loved brand across the region.”

Shivdasani joined the company in October 2020 as Head of Marketing, SEA, and Brand Leader Häagen-Dazs, AMEA, and held the position for over one year. Later, she was elevated to the position of Marketing Director, Global Emerging Markets (GEMs), and held the position for over three years, starting from October 2021 to September 2024.

Before this, she served as a part-time Marketing Director at Velocity Ventures from January 2020 to October 2020. In this position, she spearheaded marketing initiatives and led a team to successfully launch a new venture capital fund aimed at investing in start-ups within the travel and hospitality sector in South-East Asia.

From 2016 to 2018, she served as Head of Innovation and New Business Development (Asia, Middle East, and Africa) at Cereal Partners Worldwide (a joint venture between Nestlé and General Mills).

Earlier, from 2012 to 2016, she was associated with Ferrero as Marketing and Brand Management, SEA. In the past, she was also associated with Publicis Groupe as Brand Strategy (P&G, Nestlé, Sanofi Aventis) for one year, between 2011 and 2012.

In her previous stint with General Mills, she served in various capacities between 2008 to 2011, including Regional Brand Manager, Haagen-Dazs and Brand Manager, Old El Paso. In the past, she was also associated with Yes Bank as Marketing and Brand Management between 2004 and 2007.
