A new independent creative agency, Colloquial, has been launched by former Ogilvy creatives Ishita Misra and Pradyot Mokashi. The agency has been positioned on the idea of having “no voice of its own,” with the focus on shaping communication that reflects the brand and the consumer rather than a fixed agency style.
Misra has worked across Lowe Lintas, Tilt, and Ogilvy, contributing to campaigns such as Dream11’s ‘Ye Apna Game Hai’, The Pink Foundry’s ‘Skin Is Stronger Than You Think’, and Sprite’s ‘Thand Rakh’.
Mokashi has previously worked with Mullen Lintas, TVF, Tilt, and Ogilvy, with campaigns including Dream11’s ‘Ye Game Hai Mahaa’n, Livspace’s ‘Don’t Try This At Home’, and the relaunch of ITC Bingo! Mad Angles.
Misra said, “Creative work that solves client problems comes from understanding culture and applying craft. Our aim is to create work that is rooted in culture, shaped with craft, and designed to last.”
Mokashi added, “Colloquial does not want to have a signature style. Our focus is on ideas that are right for the brand, the brief, and the consumer. We want to create advertising that speaks to people rather than to the industry.”
