2021 seems to be great for India. By securing their grand win in the INDvsAUS match at the Gabba in over 32 years, they finally clinched the Border-Gavaskar trophy 2-1. While chasing 328, Rishabh Pant was unstoppable at 89 and the team achieved the target in about 97 overs. Everyone applauded as the country made history and dignified personalities including PM Narendra Modi, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and even Priyanka Chopra shared their happiness for Team India.
Among all the congratulatory messages, two tweets stood out thanks to Mahindra&Mahindra’s CEO Anand Mahindra, and the ever-charming Shashi Tharoor who is known for his extensive vocabulary in the English language. Both of them trolled the Australian team after India’s well-deserved win.
In a graphic shared by Tharoor, he pointed at a few players who had mentioned that India will get ‘hammered’ in this series. Clapping back at them, Tharoor came out with a new word – epicaricacy which means deriving pleasure from the misfortunes of others!
#WordIfTheDay: epicaricacy! I am not the gloating kind but there’s a special pleasure in reading these comments today… When everything else has been said, what remains but “wow”?! #IndvsAus pic.twitter.com/ZauqQ2DMP9

Anand Mahindra, who is also known for his tongue-in-cheek tweets, came out in support of Tharoor and pointed at the pride of the Australian cricketers.
How would you like to eat your words? Grilled, fried, baked…wrapped in a chapati or dosa? 😊 pic.twitter.com/nZs3Z2N8Fa

The reactions of both Tharoor and Mahindra’s fans have been hilarious and they are proud of having such idols who share similar sentiments.
Like a hotdog 😆😂

All I heard a month ago:
‘Australia win this series’
‘Australia whitewash 4-0’
‘India can’t win at the Gabba’

This is the first time since 2012 that the Australian cricket team has not won at the Gabba. They have been pretty great players, but we are definitely proud supporters of our Indian cricket heroes.
