Ex-Paytm CMO Sumit Mathur Joins Glanbia Performance Nutrition As Country Head- India & South Asia

After being associated with One97 Communications, parent company to Paytm, as the Chief Marketing Officer for a period of more than one year, Sumit Mathur has now joined Glanbia Performance Nutrition as its Country Head- India & South Asia.

Sumit Mathur Joins Glanbia Performance Nutrition

After serving as the Chief Marketing Officer of One97 Communications, the parent company of Paytm, for the past more than one year, Sumit Mathur has now joined Glanbia Performance Nutrition in the capacity of Country Head- India & South Asia.

During his leadership stint at Paytm Group, he was responsible for building and scaling the Masterbrand’s Equity, User Growth and P&L across B2C/B2B businesses and leading a 150+ team of MarCom, Product Marketing, Media and Social, Event Partnerships, Insight and Analytics and In-house Design professionals.

Prior to joining One97 Communications in March 2023, he was associated with Kellogg Company for more than five-and-a-half years. He joined them as Director Marketing (CMO)- India in September 2017 and was elevated to the role of Senior Director Marketing in April 2022.

From May 2003 to September 2017, he served across various roles ranging from Area Sales Manager, International Assignments, Senior Brand Manager, Marketing Manager- Corporate Audit (Asia Amet), Marketing Manager- Tea (South Asia), Category Director- Ice Creams (South Asia) and GM- Ice Cream (India) at Hindustan Unilever.

Sharing his excitement on the development, Mathur mentioned, “My bags are packed and I’m ready to go. Passion for Food & Fitness, Rapidly Growing Sports Nutrition category and people & culture focused on wellbeing! Feeling energised as I take on the opportunity of leading India & South Asia for Glanbia Performance Nutrition (GPN) in my role as the Country Head.”
