Aman Prakash has assumed the role of National Head – Marketing and Strategy (SLM) at Captain Steel India.
In his new role, Prakash’s focus will be on leveraging consumer and trade insights to build an engaging 360-degree marketing ecosystem and creating a comprehensive communication strategy for the brand while, the company said.
Commenting on his appointment, the company added, “With over two decades of dynamic leadership in marketing, Prakash will bring a wealth of experience in steering large teams and crafting innovative marketing strategies across diverse sectors on a nationwide scale.”
“In his new endeavour with Captain Steel India, Prakash is looking forward to bringing the TMT Category closer to consumers, making it a more involved category, and growing the brand equity of Captail Steel,” it said.
Before assuming this role, he held the position of Marketing and Strategy Head (Key Accounts and Value Added Products) at Dalmia Cement from January 2018 to March 2024. This was his second stint with the company. Prior to that, he worked as the Head of Marketing at Shyam Steel Industries from December 2016 to June 2017.
Before this position, his initial tenure was with Dalmia Cement, where he worked as the Brand Head from July 2011 to December 2016.
Previously, Prakash held positions at several other companies. He served as Head of Sales at Erawat Pharma from May 1998 to April 2003, then moved on to become Head of Business Operations at Ascent Brand Communications from May 2003 to March 2008. Following that, he worked as a Marketing Lead at Reliance Communications from March 2008 to April 2009, and later as a Senior Marketing Specialist at Sistema Shyam Teleservices from May 2009 to June 2011.
