Britannia Industries has appointed Puneet Das as Chief Marketing Officer with effect from 16th February 2026. Das brings over 24 years of experience in driving growth, innovation, and brand transformation across the FMCG sector in Indian and international markets, including Africa, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka. Over the course of his career, Das has held senior commercial and marketing leadership roles at Marico Limited, PepsiCo India, GSK Consumer Healthcare India, and Tata Consumer Products Limited, working on iconic brands such as 7Up, Boost, Horlicks, Tata Tea, and Tetley.
Das has been recognized with several prestigious industry awards, including the CMO Leadership Award (2025), CMO Trailblazer North Star Award (2022), Marketer of the Year (2020) by BrandEquity.com, and the Pitch Best CMO Award for excellence in purpose-driven marketing (2019 and 2020). He has also been featured in the Super 30 CMO Honour Roll (2020) and served as Chairperson of the ASSOCHAM National Council on Branding & Marketing from 2023 to 2025. Das is a graduate of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and holds a postgraduate diploma in management (MBA) from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Siddharth Gupta, who was General Manager – Marketing, has been elevated as Vice President – Marketing with effect from 1st February 2026. Gupta joined Britannia in 2018 and currently leads the marketing for the Biscuit, Wafer, and Snack portfolio of the company. He has about 20 years of experience in brand management, strategy, innovation, communication, customer marketing, and sales.
Before joining Britannia, Gupta worked with Colgate Palmolive starting as a Management Trainee in 2006, rising to Marketing Manager, heading the Freshness, Whitening, and Sensitivity toothpaste categories.
