In an era of in the face branding and product placement that is obvious and forced comes a refreshing approach taken for Roshan’s Masalas. Their endeavour in production of a short film (9 minutes) titled, “Govind Singh Ne Chole Kyon Chhode” is an endearing story that breaks the format of conventional ads and presents a compelling case in point that engages viewers to the reason behind launching yet another Chole Masala in the already crowded marketplace of Masala Brands.
Written by Adman Kumar Ganesan also known as Storywallah, the film directed by Venkat Naidu revolves around the story of a grandson returning to his native after finishing his education only to find that his Grandfather cannot partake in the family ritual of eating the most chole batures. Upon questioning his finds out that his grandfather has actually given up on eating Chole Bature post an incident. Moved at this sacrifice the grandson takes upon himself to set things right and ensure that his grandfather Govind Singh gets to his favourite food.
Enacted by veteran actor Arun Bali who plays Govind Singh and TV star Manish Raisinghan playing the grandson this short film is enjoyable to watch and leaves people with a tear in their eyes.
