Big Bazaar Wins ‘Most Admired Retailer’ Award For Digital Marketing Campaigns Category

The IMAGES Retail Awards every year celebrate India’s most outstanding achievements in retail and honour excellence in digital innovation and implementation in the retail industry. A unique process is followed that covers multiple benchmarks and qualitative factors including supplier relations, employee management, marketing/consumer promotions, to evaluate the best retail brands in India. The 2018 awards were held in Mumbai on September 5 and Big Bazaar has won “Most admired retailer” for the Digital Marketing Campaigns category.

India’s most popular hypermarket chain Big Bazaar is known to use largely mass medium such as television, print, radio and outdoor, but in recent times, the company has extended its presence on the digital audience by using social media platforms for its latest advertising campaigns.

Talking about this, Alok Arya from Future Group posted on his LinkedIn account and said:

At Big Bazaar, we have followed a very unique philosophy of unlearning & learning by rewriting the rules. This has not only helped us be relevant to our customer at all touch points & occasions but also helped us become one of the most trusted retail brands in India.

Here’s a look at some of Big Bazaar campaigns that helped it to win this award:

Sabse Saste Din

Big Bazaar celebrated its 12th Anniversary of Sabse Saste Din offers with a fresh idea- Big Bazaar 24 hour Facebook Live Shopping Carnival. Big Bazaar promoted the Live video broadcast by giving away more than 10 lakh mobile coupons to use during sale days. The campaign was also promoted on Instagram Stories and signing popular celebrities such as Mouni Roy, Aamir & Sanjeeda, Ranvijay Singh, Shraddha Sharma & many more helped this campaign to be a super hit.

FBB Watch Now, Buy Now

Big Bazaar hosted a fashion show named Watch Now Buy Now that allowed customers to buy clothing in real time. To get maximum attractions discounts were available to those who were quick to register for this event.

Public Holiday Sale

Big Bazaar not only wants to use social media for converting the online audience into their offline customers but also wants to push the e-commerce business using creative campaigns. Big Bazaar created immense visibility for their ‘Public Holiday Sale” campaign made visitors to try online shopping by partnering with RVCJ Media to create a buzz on social media. RVCJ created funny static memes, video memes and dedicated YouTube video that made this campaign successful.

Mahabachat Sale

For this sale, Big Bazaar launched 2 games on Facebook that helped customers to get discounts by scoring in these games.
Not only this, to engage the audience on social media, Big Bazaar created Facebook augmented reality camera game for the Football world cup too.

We congratulate Big Bazaar for becoming the “Most admired retailer” for the Digital Marketing Campaigns category and hope that the company continues to bring in some really innovative digital campaigns in the future.
