One of India’s leading telecommunications services providers, Bharti Airtel, has appointed Check Point Software Technologies’ Sharat Sinha as its new CEO- Airtel Business.
Starting today, Sinha will be a part of the Airtel Management Board and will report to Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO, Bharti Airtel.
Prior to his new role at Airtel, Sinha was associated with Check Point Software Technologies as President- APAC and Japan for over five years, starting February 2019. Additionally, he has also been serving as an Executive Advisor at Riverwood Capital since November 2020.
Before Check Point Software Technologies, he was associated with VMware as VP- APAC and Japan from January 2015 to February 2019, as Theatre Vice President- APAC at Palo Alto Networks from November 2012 to January 2015, and VP and General Manager- APAC and Japan at Tellabs from November 2011 to October 2012.
In the past, he also worked with Cisco for more than eleven-and-a-half years, Ericsson for close to two-and-a-half years and Tata Communications for four years.
