The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for a new title sponsor for the Indian cricket team.
In a statement, the board said: “Board of Control for Cricket in India announces the release of the Invitation for Expression of Interest for National Team Lead Sponsor Rights.”
The development comes after Dream11 informed the board that it would no longer be able to continue its sponsorship, following the recent parliamentary law that banned real-money-based online gaming.
Dream11 had signed a deal worth US$44 million (approximately Rs 358 crore) with the BCCI for the period 2023–2026. Along with My11Circle, another fantasy sports platform, the two companies have contributed nearly Rs 1,000 crore to the board through sponsorship of the national cricket team and the Indian Premier League (IPL).
