After being associated with BACARDÍ India for more than seven-and-a-half years, Sameeksha Uniyal has now been elevated to the role of Regional Head of Brand for AMEA (Asia, Middle East & Africa) at the alcobev major.
In her new role, she will manage marketing and business operations for BACARDÍ’s rum brands across the greater AMEA region.
Having joined BACARDÍ India as Brand Manager- India and SEA in October 2016, she has served across various roles such as Senior Brand Manager- RTD AMEA, Senior Brand Manager- Brand BACARDÍ (India and SEA) and Brand Lead at the alcobev major prior to being appointed its Regional Head of Brand.
During her seven-year tenure at the company, she has spearheaded a variety of major marketing initiatives; most recently directing the rollout of BACARDÍ’s “It’s A Mood” campaign in India.
Before joining BACARDÍ, Uniyal had worked with various companies including Viacom18 Media, Maxus, Sony Entertainment and Big River Radio (India) in the past.
Taking the baton from her for leading the brand’s rum portfolio in India is Ashish Jha, who has also been associated with the company for the past six years. He had joined the alcobev major in May 2018 as Brand Manager and was elevated to the position of Senior Brand Manager- BACARDÍ Rums and Breezer in November 2022 before being named the Brand Lead for the brand’s rum portfolio in India.
Prior to joining BACARDÍ, he had worked with Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) for more than seven-and-a-half years.
