ASICS Widens Athlete Roster By Signing Olympic Medal Contender Antim Panghal As Brand Athlete

Ahead of Paris Olympics 2024, Japanese Sports Performance Brand, ASICS, has signed on India’s rising wrestling sensation and Olympic Medal Contender- Antim Panghal as part of its elite team of Brand Athletes.

ASICS, the Japanese sports performance brand, has signed India’s rising wrestling sensation- Antim Panghal ahead of Paris Olympics 2024 to its elite team of Brand Athletes.

This partnership underscores the brand’s enduring commitment to nurturing and empowering India’s sports talent.

Serving as a testament for all the young aspiring athletes, Panghal has swiftly ascended through the ranks with her exceptional wrestling skills and unwavering dedication and has achieved numerous accolades including that of being one of the first Indian female wrestlers to win a Gold at the World Cadet Championships, a Silver at Asian Championship Astana-2023, a Gold at U20 World Championship Amman -2023, a Bronze at The Asian Games Hangzhou-2022 and a Bronze at The World Championship Belgrade-2023.

Hailing from Haryana, she has also been bestowed with the prestigious Arjuna Award by the President of India as an acknowledgement for her remarkable achievements in wrestling.

As part of this partnership, ASICS will provide Antim with state-of-the-art footwear and apparel to enhance her training and competition performance. Panghal on the other hand, will help ASICS continue to strengthen its team of elite athletes, which includes prominent sports figures such as tennis stars Sumit Nagal, Rohan Bopanna, and Karman Kaur Thandi, cricket star Prasidh Krishna, squash stars Joshna Chinappa and Saurav Ghoshal, marathon champion T. Gopi and hockey sensation Manpreet Singh.
