It’s not the first time for Afghanistan Cricket Team to receive a boost from India. The world is aware of the love India has for Cricket, and only Amul’s latest move to sponsor Team Afghanistan for World Cup 2019 speaks it the better.
Time and again there have been instances where The Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) have been happy to help the Afghanistan Cricket Team. One such moment to recall remains when BCCI offered the team to shift their home base from Sharjah to New Delhi in 2015 during a series to which the team not only obliged but also celebrated the mutual love for the sport.
With World Cup 2019 approaching, India giant Amul recently announced that it will be the official sponsor for the Afghanistan Cricket Team this World Cup which is to be held in England and Wales from May 30.
It also posted an official tweet announcing the same followed by Amul cool content

Not only did the Officials of Afghanistan Cricket Board appreciate this move but even Twitterati couldn’t keep calm.
Asadullah Khan, CEO of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), said: “This is a big moment for Afghanistan cricket and we are extremely happy that Amul will sponsor us for the World Cup. This is the first time we will play in the World Cup as a full member and the preparations are good. We hope to do well.”
And here are some the reactions of our fellow Twitterati:

As an Indian, I’m proud of you @Amul_Coop. India’s ethos has always been to help our friends and Afghanistan is a true one which we must support through this trying time. And their cricket team is truly world class and will rise with the right financial support. Well done!
