Amazon founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos, got trolled on Twitter for misattributing a quote. He also shared that he always reads this quote while opening his fridge. The quote reads “To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
This quote was originally written by an American writer named Bessie Stanley and Bezos’ tweet has Ralph Waldo Emerson written on the paper. Here is what he tweeted:
Love this quote. It’s been on my fridge for years, and I see it every time I open the door. #Emerson pic.twitter.com/kN8HjM4bOI

Jeff is facing strong criticism for posting this because the tweet came at a time when Amazon has decided to stop construction of its two buildings because of a new corporate tax. According to reports, these buildings could have given accommodation to more than 7,000 Amazon employees.

How about paying Federal taxes?
And how about paying Federal taxes? Giving back to Society? To win the respect of all kinds of people, to NOT look for the best in others, to look for imperfection. To embrace life and realizing you have lived because there are people around you, who makes you feel alive. Think!

Weird you would love that quote
weird you would love that quote when you stop construction on a new tower because the tax would be used to provide affordable housing in the city. not to mention the menial low wages you pay the hard workers who help build your empire🤔

You seem to break the mold in the most admirable way.
Historically great wealth can be linked to great evil. You seem to break the mold in the most admirable way.

Maybe you should read, re-read, and re-read again
Seems to me you haven't really read it, if you think that the best way to use your billions it to go to space. Maybe you should read, re-read, and re-read again, until you understand exactly what this section means. pic.twitter.com/9zCR2sD6DS

Such incidents prove that even small mistakes generate so many negative comments on social media platforms like Twitter and this is probably the reason why a lot of professionals are avoiding to use these platforms.
