All You Need To Know About Dubai Expo 2020

The world famous tourist destination is gearing up for the first-ever World Expo in the world. Taking place in between the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the event will witness 60 shows every day, 200 restaurants and will have 191 country pavilions. The country will play host to the first-ever Expo in the Middle East, Africa and South Africa (MEASA) region.

Initially, the expo was to take place on October 20th, 2020 to April 10th, 2021. However, the dates were pushed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and will now take place from October 1st, 2021 to March 31st, 2022. The promotions for the Dubai Expo have reached far and wide, across borders. The theme of this Expo is ‘Connecting Minds and Creating the Future’ which aims at inspiring people through the themes of sustainability, mobility and opportunity.

The tickets for the event are available on the official website of the Expo and are ranged at different price levels with the most expensive ticket priced at Rs 37,547.13 whereas a single day pass is worth Rs 2,038.27.

A dedicated pavilion for India has also been set up amongst the pavilions for all countries. This pavilion will highlight the Indian culture and ensure that it presents itself as a true glocal national. Shri B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, GoI stated that the Indian Pavilion at the Expo would showcase a resurgent India’s march to becoming a USD 5 Trillion economy.

In order to spread word far and wide, Dubai’s flagship airline, Emirates also released a campaign feature with actor Chris Hemsworth to promote Expo 2020. Government ministers, officials and celebrities are set to visit the Indian Pavilion during the Expo 2020. The occasion is set to witness the biggest event in the world which will see a hub of cultural, ethnic and enriching dialogue and representation.
