Grasim’s Ajay Gupta Becomes New CEO Of Century Pulp & Paper At Aditya Birla Group

After being associated with Grasim Industries for a period of more than six-and-a-half years, Ajay Gupta has now been appointed as the new CEO of Century Pulp and Paper. He has been a part of Aditya Birla Group since November 2017.

Having been a part of Aditya Birla Group since 2017, Ajay Gupta, who had been associated with Grasim Industries as Senior President and Unit Head for more than six-and-a-half years in the past has now been appointed as the new CEO of Century Pulp & Paper.

With over two decades of experience, he brings with him a wealth of experience in textile manufacturing- Pulp and Fibre businesses, a track record of driving success and growth, business automation and for the turnaround of business units towards sustainable profitability in his previous roles.

In the past, he has also transformed large-scale operations and established globally competitive manufacturing facilities.

Before joining Aditya Birla Group’s Grasim Industries in November 2017, he was associated with Indonesia-based APRIL (Part of Sateri Viscose Team) from May 2016 to October 2017, wherein he led the construction of one of the world’s largest integrated Greenfield Viscose manufacturing facility.

Prior to that, he served the role of Site Head at Archean Group Company and spearheaded the establishment of a marine chemical complex in Gujarat from June 2015 to May 2016.

Earlier on, he also worked with Indo Rama Synthetics as Site Head for one-and-a-half years and with Aditya Birla Group’s PT Indo Bharat Rayon across several roles for about one year.
