Airtel’s VP- Media Archana Aggarwal Moves On After A Decade

After a period of more than ten years, Archana Aggarwal, who had been associated with Airtel as Vice President- Media, has decided to move on from the telecom major.

Having joined the telecom company in December 2013, she has been responsible for improving Airtel’s media product by deploying customized media strategies, managing the A&M budget and cost optimisation as well as identifying business growth opportunities amongst others.

Commenting on the development, Aggarwal mentioned, “As I reflect on the past decade, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and nostalgia. Ten years ago, I embarked on a new journey in a new city and a new company called Airtel. Little did I know then that this journey would become one of the most enriching and transformative experiences of my life.”

“As I bid farewell to Airtel, I am humbled by the incredible opportunities, challenges, and moments of triumph that have shaped me into the professional I am today. From navigating through dynamic industry shifts to leading impactful projects and fostering meaningful relationships, every step of the way has been a remarkable learning experience,” she added.

Before Airtel, Aggarwal was associated with Procter & Gamble as Country Media Manager from March 2005 to October 2013. In her stint, she not only drove digital adoption and education among brand managers, but also created unique digital strategies for each brand leading to differential spend level.

While she was instrumental in delivering ROI of 137 with media savings of $10mm – $20mm, she also developed media strategies for each brand based on consumer insights which brand communication wasn’t able to address in addition to business objectives.

From 2001 to 2005, she was associated with WPP as Media Director and before that as Assistant Media Director at McCann Erickson India from 1995 to 2001.
