Ad Space Per Publication Witnessed Growth Of 17% During Jan-March 2024: TAM AdEx

According to TAM AdEx-Print Advertising Quarterly Report, more than 67,000 brands advertised on print during January-March 2024 with Honda Shine 100 leading the list. On Print, SBS Biotech ascended to 1st position during January-March 2024 compared to January-March 2023. Whereas, Maruti Suzuki India descended to 4th position in January-March 2024, compared to its 1st position in January-March 2023.

Ad Space Per Publication Witnessed Growth Of 17% During Jan-March 2024: TAM AdEx

The ad space per publication witnessed growth of 17% during January-March 2024 over January-March 2022, according to TAM AdEx-Print Advertising Quarterly Report For January-March 2024.

As per the report, services sector retained its first position with 16% share of ad space during January-March 2024.

Cars was the top category with 7% share of ad space in January-March 2024. The top 10 advertisers collectively added 16% share of ad spaces with SBS Biotech dominating the list.

More than 67,000 brands advertised on print during January-March 2024 with Honda Shine 100 leading the list.

Among Growing Categories, Cellular Phones-Smart Phone had the highest growth of 3 times in terms of ad space difference and growth percentage during January-March 2024 over January 2023, the report stated.

Shri Ramjanmabhumi Teerth Kshetra and Honda Shine 100 were the top exclusive advertiser and brand respectively in January-March 2024 compared to January-March 2023.

Sales Promotion advertising covered 29% share of ad space in print during January-March 2024. In print, ad space per publication witnessed growth 7% and 17% during January-March 2023 and January-March 2024 respectively, compared to January-March 2022.

Also, compared to January-March 2023, ad space per publication observed growth of 10% in January-March 2024.

The report highlighted that the top five sectors retained their respective positions in print advertising during January-March 2024 over January-March 2023. Top 10 sectors collectively added 82% share of ad space. Compared to January-March 2023, Telecom Products was the only new entrant among the top sectors in January-March 2024.

Among the top 10 categories present in January-March 2024, 3 belonged to Education Sector. The top 10 categories together covered 40% share of ad space.

During January-March 2024, Multiple Courses and Cellular Phones-Smart Phones entered the top 10 categories and secured 9th and 10th positions compared to their 11th and 21th positions respectively in January-March 2023.

On Print, SBS Biotech ascended to 1st position during January-March 2024 compared to January-March 2023. Whereas, Maruti Suzuki India descended to 4th position in January-March 2024, compared to its 1st position in January-March 2023.

In print advertising, more than 57,000 advertisers were present during January-March 2024. Among the top 10 brands present, 6 of them were new entrants during January-March 2024 over January-March 2023.

Honda Shine 100 was the leading brand for print advertising in January-March 2024. Fiitjee shifted down to 8th position in January-March 2024, compared to its 1st position in January-March 2023.

Cellular Phones-Smart Phones witnessed the highest growth of 3 times in terms of both ad space difference and growth percentage, followed by cars with 17% growth in January-March 2024 over January-March 2023.

33,000+ advertisers and 43,000+ brands exclusively promoted during January-March 2024 in print compared to January-March 2023. Sales Promotion advertising covered 29% share of ad space in print during January-March 2024.

Among Sales Promotions, Discount Promotion obtained 1st position with 44% share of ad space followed by Multiple Promotion. Top 2 promotions covered more than 85% share of ad space during January-March 2024.
