India’s pioneer of meme-marketing – RVCJ Digital Media has announced the launch of Meme Utsav, a dedicated event to celebrate the meme culture in India. With the aim of promoting creativity, humor and honoring the unsung heroes of digital content, Meme Utsav will bring people together to share, create and appreciate memes. The event will take place at NESCO, Goregaon East, Mumbai, on the 16th and 17th of December, 2023.

Elon Musk had once tweeted, “Who controls the memes controls the Universe” and this statement is absolutely true for the online era. Memes have become the language of the digital world. They have the power to entertain, unite and provide social commentary, ultimately providing a sense of community. They are the most popular form of content on the internet. Slowly yet gradually, brands have started to realize the importance of memes to connect with online audiences, but meme creators have not received the recognition that they deserve. With Meme Utsav, RVCJ is looking to change this by empowering them with a platform to express their talent.
