In a bid to encourage good manners among people, a restaurant called Dakshin-5 in Telangana is offering courtesy discounts, by which one can earn discounts of upto INR 35/-. The more courtesy you show, the more discounts you earn.
Managing partners of the hotel, AK Solanky and Sanjeev Kumar Blake, said, that a ‘vegetarian thali’ at the eatery would typically cost around INR 165/- plus taxes, but a ‘vegetarian thali please’, will cost only INR 150/-
If someone greets a ‘Good Afternoon’, INR 30/- will be discounted from the price. Discounts are also for the restaurant’s non-veg thalis too.
Generally, the staff at a restaurant are forever in a rush, juggling between countless jobs, while trying to offer the best services to customers. Sometimes, staff is also treated impolitely for no fault of theirs. Offers like these, will encourage people to be more polite with them and the staff too will feel valued too. Plus, it wades off any unpleasantness and helps build relationships.
But this isn’t the end. There’s another offer titled ‘Elder the Better’. Under this offer, if a diner is accompanied with someone who is elderly, the amount, equal to the elderly person’s age will be deducted from the total bill.
This restaurant serves popular dishes from different states of South India like Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
