YouGov, one of the world’s leading market research and data companies, has recently released a list of ‘Best Brand Rankings in India’ for the year 2021.
Methodology
The organization combines this continuous stream of data with deep research expertise and broad industry experience, to develop the technologies and methodologies that will enable more collaborative decision-making.
In the Middle East and North Africa and South Asia, YouGov has the largest pure research online panel where over half a million people participate in surveys across 21 countries.
The rankings were based on the Index score from YouGov BrandIndex, which is a measure of overall brand health calculated by taking the average of Impression, Quality, Value, Satisfaction, Recommend, and Reputation.
As per the report, here are the top 10 best brands in India as of 2021.
1. Google
Score: 54.2
Search engine giant Google became the top-ranked brand in YouGov’s 2021 Best Brand Rankings for India for the third consecutive year with a score of 54.2.
2. Youtube
Score: 53.7
One of the leading social media platforms, Youtube, stood in the third position for the second consecutive year. It scored just below Google at 53.7.
3. Amazon
Score: 50.6
Despite noting a decline in its year-on-year brand health score, Amazon moved up to third with a score of 50.6 this year.
4. WhatsApp
Score: 48.3
WhatsApp witnessed a decline in its brand health this year by moving down three places on the index this year.
5. Amazon Prime
Score: 36
Amazon’s video-on-demand streaming service Amazon Prime strengthened its brand health perception over the year marking its debut in the top 10 list.
6. Flipkart
Score: 35.9
While the previous year, Flipkart stood on the ninth spot, the brand has managed to move up by three spots with a score of 35.9.
7. Make My Trip
Score: 35.2
Make My Trip had witnessed a drop of 1,9 points in its brand health score as compared to last year. however, the brand still managed to move a place up in the ranking.
8. Dettol Soaps
Score: 34.8
Post pandemic, Dettol Soaps witnessed a surge in its popularity which has also contributed to its growth by two spots this year.
9. Facebook
Score: 34.6
Facebook recorded a decline in its scores since the past year. The company moved down to the ninth spot with a health score of 34.6.
10. Samsung
Score: 32.4
The tech giant Samsung was a new entrant in the list that secured the last spot with a health score of 32.4.
