The onset of the pandemic this year has literally changed the way we live our lives. Digitization has taken the world by storm, as even those of us who were technologically challenged earlier have now become savants mastering everything online. From following cooking recipes, makeup tutorials, learning new skills, and also attending classes, meetings, chats, and events online, we have started relying on our gadgets to connect us with the world. So when this Tamil family came up with a solution for online weddings, we definitely loved the idea!
December has brought in the wedding season. Most of us are taking precautions this year by not going out of our way to attend events. We miss the food served at these weddings and this Tamil family has come up with a convenient solution to attend your friend’s or family’s wedding online and still have scrumptious food! Check out the wedding invitation below!
By providing Kalayana Sappu (wedding meal) to guests at their homes via delivery partners and carrier services, this family created a proper wedding feast by packing all the food in 4 different tiffins, and in colorful bags. Each bag also came with a set of instructions describing what the meal is and how it is supposed to be served.
And once served, the feast indeed looks lovely! Just the way it would be served to all guests in the traditional, Tamilian way!
This was the original post that introduced people to this wedding invitation.

Another user also suggested how wedding rituals can be performed over video calls, even if every family member and guest were doing it online.
Yes everyone could eat together and at a given time, open the packs and be present via zoom or similar app ,with some festive music playing in the background .'Sagan' could be transferred to the bank account indicated on the invitation .The times we live in. Flavourless !
