Every Business is facing big changes due to COVID-19 pandemic and companies have already started employing new plans to cope with the world post this lockdown period. One thing is for sure that people have now become aware of the importance of maintaining social distance as a cure for coronavirus and it will be interesting to see how online service startups like Zomato will operate in the coming days.
In order to give an idea of how the restaurants under Zomato will operate, Deepinder Goyal has shared an update regarding a new option; Contactless Dining.
Contactless Dining. We anticipate dining out will undergo significant & permanent changes in the way it operates. Based on some recent consumer studies, diners are ranking safety assurance and hygiene as their top factors when they choose a restaurant for dine in. @grvgpta

Zomato has even shared a blog post on its website regarding this in which the company has revealed three main components of Contactless Dining, these are:
Contactless menu – scan a QR code on the table to explore the restaurant menu with dish and pairing recommendations
Contactless ordering – order through the app (you don’t need to talk to the waiting staff to place an order, or modify an order)
Contactless payment – once done, just pay the bill via the app & leave the restaurant premises
The concept is to minimize the contact with mostly touched items in a restaurant and make food safe for both staff and the customers. Zomato is working hard to educate restaurants about maintaining hygienic and safety measures as directed by the World Health Organisation and this new strategy can be a big transformation to cope with the situation.
